Colour Theory

For more than 50 years, Fleurco has defined the modern bathroom and is now reimagining it through colour, innovation, and thoughtful design.

This year, Fleurco is introducing a subtle yet striking shift: colour. Nothing overly bold or trend-driven, but rather a refined evolution grounded in timeless style. The latest expression comes in the form of the freestanding Solfege bathtub, now available in matte champagne and matte rosemary green, alongside classic white. Offered in both petite and grande sizes, the new hues bring a fresh, considered dimension to the bathroom.

Standing out is nothing new for Fleurco. The Montreal-based company began by designing, manufacturing, and distributing shower doors before expanding into a comprehensive range of bathroom fixtures, including shower bases, bathtubs, mirrors, and vanities. While all products are designed in Canada, Fleurco’s reach extends across North America, supported by an extensive network of warehouses, designers, installers, and after-sales service. The company works closely with high-end showrooms, builders, and hospitality groups, and more recently has entered the world of influencer collaborations, partnering selectively with those who align with its balance of aesthetic sensibility and performance-driven design.

“What we try to focus on is thoughtful design, where function is just as important as aesthetics,” says Nicole Krol, Fleurco’s vice president of marketing and sales for the U.S. and Canada. “Each product needs to look good, and it needs to function and install well. We consider how it will perform in real spaces.”

While Fleurco has long been a leader in technical innovation, the brand remains attuned to broader design movements. Its in-house team regularly visits European trade shows, bringing back ideas that resonate with evolving consumer tastes. Today, that translates into a shift away from all-white and chrome palettes—though they remain classics—toward richer textures and more nuanced finishes, such as brushed gold and gunmetal.

“The bathroom used to be more about utility-driven design,” Krol says. “But over the past eight years or so, it has really become a retreat within the home. People are gravitating toward open glass showers, freestanding tubs, enhanced lighting, and cleaner architectural lines—details that homeowners didn’t necessarily focus on in the past. These elements create a true spa-like oasis, adding texture and depth.”

Achieving that sense of calm often depends on what isn’t immediately visible. Hidden design features and advanced technology play a crucial role. Fibo by Fleurco Wall Systems, a modular wall panel system, eliminates the need for grout and individual tiles, replacing them with a patented, waterproof Aqualock click system. The result is both practical and visually elevated, with finishes that feel at home in a luxury spa, from smooth white marble to glossy polished stone and textured pure oak.

The brand’s latest launch, Closiq, continues this focus on intelligent design. The collection features corner glass showers with zero to 90-degree inward sliding doors, making them ideal for compact spaces and secondary bathrooms. It’s a thoughtful departure from the bulky, utilitarian enclosures of the past, proving that style and performance need not be sacrificed in a smaller space. A double-magnet closure ensures a watertight seal, minimizing leaks and enhancing ease of use.

“Its in-house team regularly visits European trade shows, bringing back ideas that resonate with evolving consumer tastes.”

Among Fleurco’s most impactful innovations is one many users may never consciously notice: FleurcoSEKUR+ Safety Protection. This transparent film is bonded directly to the glass panels, holding them together in the event of breakage, similar to a car windshield. It’s a quiet but powerful example of the brand’s philosophy, where safety, design, and everyday functionality are seamlessly integrated.
