The Evolution of Excellence

Mississauga’s Vogt Industries—which celebrated its 15th anniversary this year—is a family-run Canadian luxury-business success story. Here’s how it rose to award-winning prominence  and what lies ahead.

You have to start somewhere, as Reka Kevsehi, co-founder and head of business development at Vogt Industries, renowned for premium kitchen and bathroom fixtures, well knows. In 2010, she and her husband, co-founder Eugene Vogt, began with only a dream and five models of stylish stainless steel kitchen sinks. “I compiled a list of potential customers from online directories,” she says. “Armed with a map, I started driving and cold-calling, showing our products from the trunk of my car.”

The couple’s dream was to leave their day jobs—both worked in the banking industry—and create Canadian products that combined cutting-edge design, advanced technology and premium materials, while drawing inspiration from emerging trends in Europe. Fifteen years later, Vogt Industries ships more than 5,000 products across the country and has become an award-winning nationwide brand.

Kevsehi and the team now operate from a 30,000-square-foot head office in Mississauga that features a chic showroom and spacious warehouse. The company’s extensive collection includes quartz, composite, ceramic and stainless-steel sinks, complemented by a full range of distinctive faucets and accessories. Their products are available through more than 200 authorized dealers, primarily high-end design retailers and showrooms catering to clients who value exceptional high quality and design.

“Every year we introduce new ideas and products with a focus on both luxury with functionality,” Kevsehi says. “We call it purposeful luxury.” Developing a groundbreaking Vogt product idea to market can take three years or more, guided by the company’s in-house design and research and development team—currently 25 full-time professionals, including dedicated market researchers.

These forward thinkers attend international design shows from Milan to Shanghai to stay ahead of global trends. The team is diverse, bringing together a blend of international perspectives that foster creativity. Once a product is designed in-house, components are sourced worldwide from countries that include Germany, Italy, France and Korea, ensuring high quality and innovative features. Most assembly occurs in-house, which ensures it meets the company’s exacting standards.

This design-driven approach has earned rave reviews. The Zauber faucets alone have won a slew of awards internationally, including the 2025 Living Luxe Product Innovation Award for “visionary design and creativity in made-in-Canada products,” a New York Design Award and the prestigious Red Dot Design Award. Among the other notable and winning products is the company’s colourful Mond (“Moon” in German) collection, which features interchangeable accent colours to match changing moods and trends.

Reka Kevsehi, Co-Founder &  Head Of Business Development

“The company feels like a child I’ve nurtured, growing with remarkable speed. My passion and commitment to the business remain as strong as in its earliest days.”

Family lies at the heart of the company’s culture, says Kevsehi. Her husband serves as co-founder, while her brother, Zoltan Kevsehi, heads business operations. Several employees have been with the company for most of its history, highlighting the strong sense of loyalty and community. “One has been with us for close to a decade,” she says. “Another is godmother to one of my two daughters. We really are like a close-knit family.”

What has remained constant over the years is a passion for precision engineering, timeless aesthetics and uncompromising quality, alongside a steadfast commitment to exceptional customer service. The company continues to prioritize strong client relationships, many of which trace back to its early days.

Looking ahead, there are more award-winning products in the pipeline, backed by a continuing commitment to both customers and employees. Building upon its family values and European-inspired design, Vogt Industries will continue to shape the future of luxury home products in Canada.

“This company feels like a child I’ve nurtured, growing with remarkable speed,” Kevsehi reflects. “My passion and commitment to the business remain as strong as in its earliest days. I’m eager to witness what lies ahead—the innovations, the new products and the opportunities we’ve yet to explore.”  .
